I hate it when certain people push my fucking buttons. All of my calm turns to “Let me throw it right back at you.”

I would be such a different person if I could take back the love I gave out to unworthy people. No walls, no trust issues, just simple and sweet. What I am now…takes an act of Congress to love.
Dearest Chicago,
You break my heart, consistently and constantly. Life is more than anger and guns and violence and weed. Sit your ass down and figure out what you want to do in life, what you strive to be, who you want to be. Who wakes up in the am and decides, “I want to shoot someone?” If that’s what your mind set is, then you need help..not from your friends, not from family, not from a gun, you need to seek out someone that can help you from within. HELP yourself and take 5 minutes to make a rational decision. Running on emotion all the time will get you killed or locked up or both. If you don’t care if you live or die, then do us a favor, kill yourself. If you’re that mad at someone, talk it out, fight it out, stop trying to take lives.
Chicago, I can’t defend you anymore, you’re not the city I fell in love with, you’re not the place that raised me to be the amazing citizen I strive to be. You’re a stranger who won’t leave well enough alone. Perhaps you’ll get what you deserve in the end.

7-Year-Old Zora Ball Is the World’s Youngest Game Programmer
The youngest person to create a full version of a mobile application video game. A first grader at Philadelphia’s Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School, she’s already more accomplished than everyone you know.
Ball built the app in the Bootstrap programming language, and unveiled her game at FATE’s “Bootstrap Expo” at the University of Pennsylvania.
Apparently some grumpy olds were suspicious that her older brother was really the mastermind behind the program, but Zora showed them. When asked to reconfigure the app on the spot, Ball showed naysayers what was up when she executed the request perfectly.
“We expect great things from Zora, as her older brother, Trace Ball, is a past STEM Scholar of the Year,” said Harambee Science Teacher Tariq Al-Nasir. No pressure, baby geniuses, but there’s an entire world for you to save. Please hurry.

Before it was known as Chi-Iraq or the Bloody City or however the media is painting it today, Chicago was and some days is a beautiful place. I’m not biased, I’ve been to many a city in America but there is something almost majestic about Chicago. Ask Michael Jordan, Ask Oprah.. Ask our President Barack Obama. In the 70’s, Chicago was once a community of great citizens.
Living in Englewood was a good time back then. The entire block looked out for you, made sure no one snatched you up, made sure you didn’t play in the streets with traffic coming and once those street lights came on, no one was outside under the age of 18.©

15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton was fatally shot yesterday at a Chicago park about a week after she attended President Barack Obama’s inauguration and performed at inaugural events with her high school’s band and drill team, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A 16-year-old boy with Pendleton in the park was wounded in the attack and remained in serious condition Tuesday night.
